Our Passion
We restore hope and dignity to orphans and mothers affected by conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, walking with them through holistic emotional, practical, and spiritual support.
Supporting Single Mothers
We stand with women who have survived violence, war, and loss. Through counselling, life-skills training, and small-business opportunity, we help each woman rebuild her confidence, provide for her children, and step into a future she chooses for herself.
Supporting Children
Since 1996, conflict in the Congo has left countless children without parents. We cannot reach every child, but we can change one life at a time, giving each sponsored child a family who believes in them and a path back to school.
Give a Child a Future
For AU$840 a year, less than AU$2.50 a day, you can give a child education, dignity, and hope.
Through your sponsorship, a child receives:

Mike And Christelle Matumaini
Become Family was founded in 2022 by Mike and Christelle Matumaini out of a simple conviction: that no one should walk alone. We exist to restore dignity and opportunity to vulnerable children and mothers in the Congo, helping families break the cycle of poverty and grow into confident, contributing members of their communities.
We are a registered Australian not-for-profit, governed by a volunteer Board and accountable to ACNC standards, with tax-deductible (DGR) status for eligible gifts.
